The CORD contains over 5000 entries provided by the GICHD, the CISR and external collaborators. The administrators of CORD undertake their best endeavours to fact-check and verify to the best of their knowledge and abilities. The task of updating entries and maintaining accuracy is a continuous collaborative work, relying on field observations as well as private and/or public resources. If you find technical inaccuracies or would like to suggest the addition of new entries, please contact us through Contact/Feedback form. Whilst care is taken to quality control the technical accuracy of all CORD database entries, neither GICHD nor JMU/CISR take any responsibility for possible inaccuracies in the CORD database. By using the data contained in the CORD database, you acknowledge that the data may not be accurate and you use the data at your own sole risk. The technical information contained in the CORD does not provide basis of evidence or confirmation of the presence of items in any given context, geography or conflict. The CORD provides only basic information about explosive ordnance that are likely be found within a country or territory. No information on Render Safe Procedures is provided.
The GICHD and JMU/CISR exclude any liability for any damage or harm resulting directly or indirectly from the use or reliance on the data of the CORD database.
The database and search tool are protected by United States copyright law, designed for reference only. Reproduction or copying of the CORD material by any individual or organisation is not permitted without written permission from the CORD’s owners. Licence requests should be addressed through the contact form. Use of the CORD information for any commercial activity is not permitted. Unauthorised reproduction of the CORD material will be deemed a breach of copyright and will subject to legal action. Any attempts to scrape data from the CORD site will be subject to legal action.
Authorised use of the CORD content in any other material must be correctly acknowledged and referenced.
The GICHD and JMU/CISR will review applications for access rights to the CORD database and reserve the right to withhold access. Users registering with false names or email addresses will not be given access. Unauthorized access, data theft, excessive resource use or other misuse of CORD material will lead to having access withdrawn.
